Ramon Moredo

Bro. Mon was born in Manila on December 10, 1955. His primary and secondary education years were spent in Mindoro and took up Business Management at PSBA in Quezon City. Married to Sis. Fran (Pao), they are blessed with three children: Dan, Yda, and Ayla.

Raised in a Christian home and church, Bro. Mon was exposed to regular family devotions, Bible stories, church doctrines as well as many Christian activities. Despite his Christian exposure, he viewed himself as having a sinful character especially during his teenage and early adult years.

He held refugee-processing-related jobs in the Philippines and Hong Kong (1994). He worked as a language instructor and as an office employee. Although he handled managerial level positions with a good salary that afforded him a luxurious lifestyle, he considered his life to be meaningless, miserable, and empty.

In the middle of 1995, after spending over a year abroad, he prayed for six months about returning to the Philippines as he desired to hear and truly understand the gospel again. It was during his last months in Hong Kong that God touched his heart and prompted him to read the Gospel. Moved by this experience, he pleaded for God’s forgiveness and he confessed that only Christ can save him. He finally came home by the end of 1995. He went back to his former church in 1996 and became a committed Christian.

In May 2001, he began attending the Sunday services at GLCC, and in 2002, he was invited to join the Steering Committee. It was in 2012 however that he committed himself to full-time Christian service.
